BACKGROUND/ENVIRONMENT: Apply IDENTICAL restoration AND colorization quality to the background as to the subjects. Neutralize the heavy bloom/overexposure. Colorize with a muted, grounded beige or cool-grey tone typical of mid-century Soviet interiors.

FOREGROUND: The dark, geometric perforated bar at the bottom must be completely repaired and integrated. Restore the surface texture of the table or ledge the man is leaning on. Colorize this foreground element in a natural wood or dark mahogany tone, ensuring it is as sharp and detailed as any other part of the image.

CLOTHING: Restore and colorize with full detail. For the woman’s light-colored blouse, define the fabric texture, button stitchings, and seams, colorizing in a soft cream or eggshell tone. For the man’s dark jacket, recover the lost detail in the shadows to show lapels, woolen weave, and sleeve folds, colorizing in a deep charcoal or navy blue.
